Ministry of Culture and National Media Council hoist the UAE flag at the Ministry’s headquarter in Abu Dhabi

Her Excellency Afra Al Sabri, Undersecretary of the Minister of Culture and Knowledge Development and His Excellency Mansour Al Mansouri, Director of the National Media Council, accompanied by leaders and employees from both institutions, have raised the UAE flag in front of the Ministry’s headquarters in Abu Dhabi. The flag raising was followed by the national anthem which was performed by the children’s orchestra. The UAE flag was also raised in various cultural centers of the Ministry across the UAE, to announce the launch of the events and programmes celebrating the Flag Day under the slogan “Raise it high, Raise it proud”. On this occasion the Ministry launched 4 national songs available to the public through its website and social media platforms, in addition to a number of radio and social media competitions. The Ministry also launched the UAE flag website, inclusive of comprehensive details about the flag, the ministry’s celebrations and initiatives and audience participations. On the other hand, the Ministry’s centers will also organize more than 50 various events with the participation of more than 30 federal, local and private institutions. Speaking on this occasion, Her Excellency Noura Bint Mohamed Al Kaabi, Minister of Culture of Culture and Knowledge Development, said “Today we all raise the UAE flag with our persistence, diligence and innovation in various fields, putting the UAE in the forefront. Our flag reflects the glory of our past, the pride of our present and the prosperity of our future.” Al Kaabi added: Social cohesion at its best is illustrated today as we the leaders and citizens of the UAE gather together to raise the flag high and proud. The UAE flag will at all times remain the symbol of our country’s pride and dignity with the sacrifices of its heroes and the efforts of its wise leadership.
